I was sad to read of Bob's passing, some months after he died. I'm from Dayton, Ohio, and I met Bob several years ago parking in front of his house for the Indy 500 weekend. We got to know Bob starting around the late 1990s and he started reserving our spot for us each year. We served him breakfast on race morning. He was so friendly and spoke so well of his family, telling us about golfing and dancing with his daughter and her friends. He talked about reading to children in school. I was in awe of his combat service under General George Patton in WWII. My father was also in combat in WWII, but as a Marine in the Pacific. I have never met anyone as physically fit at his age, doing all the activities he was involved in in his late 80s and early 90s. He was a joy to know and talk with. I miss Bob very much, but I know he is dancing and playing in Heaven, reunited with his wife. God bless his family and friends.
We are so sadden to hear of Bob's passing! He was a good man! We looked forward to our yearly trip to the Indy 500 where we would always park in front of Bob's house. He would always come out and share breakfast and open his home to us. We always enjoyed hearing about his family. We especially enjoyed the old Army stories he would tell. He was always so hospitable towards us. Bob will always have a very special place in our hearts! Our Indy 500 weekends will never be the same! Rest in peace our good friend!
Please accept my sincere condolences. Bob was a wonderful man. I knew him through dancing (what a fun dancer he was!) and through St. Christopher's. I am sorry that I could not be at the visitation, but, I am praying for all of his family. My sympathy to all of his family. Mary Ellen Alig
So sorry for your loss. We knew Bob through Mary Catherine and we always knew him as "brother Bob". A delightful person who we met for stew at the Legion many times with Mary and Jim and others. We loved to hear about his dancing and other loves. He truly was a sweet man. I bet he will soon be dancing on the clouds.
Sincerely,
Fred and Linda
So sorry for the loss of your brother Bob. Thinking of you & your family during this time of grief.
Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your dear Bob. Losing someone you love is one of the most difficult things a family will ever have to do. Our Heavenly Father knows your pain and wants to comfort you. Revelation21:3,4 are words of comfort that give us a promise of hope. God promises that soon he will eliminate all pain, sickness, suffering and death. What a wonderful promise, while we are waiting for the fulfillment of this promise, may your hearts find comfort in the beautiful memories of Bob and Jesus promise, John5:28,29.
