Condolences
You and your family will be in thoughts and in our memories.
We all loved you, Allen. You will be missed so much by so many who are are left with grief and sorrow. However, you are at peace and no longer suffering, but with the
Lord, so we also will find peace.
You were a very loving brother to me for my young formative years. Even the 11 year age difference was nothing to us, we were that close. Then you went into the service and away to college and met Florence and you were part of a new family.
You loved that family also. It was very evident in all you did for them as well as all the public charities you donated time and talents to.
Love from your sister Sally
Allen, you were truly a second father to me. You invited me into your fold and accepted me as a family member, and more importantly trusted your daughter's happiness with me. I admired your intelligence, your strength, and your opinions on everything. Heaven has gained a honorable and faithful man and you will be missed by all that knew you.
God has gotten a new Angel. Dad was the best father a daughter or son could ask for, the best husband any woman could ever dream of and one of the best people God created. Family was everything to you and you were everything to Mom, me, Donna and Larry. The world is a better place because you were in it and you made a difference in so many peoples lives. You were one of the most intelligent and patient people I have ever met. Such a blessing to be your daughter. I love and miss you more than words can say.
I am Don and Sally Garrison's daughter Karen, living in North Carolina. I recall as a child visiting with my parents. My condolences on your loss of a wonderful loved one.
From knowing his son, Larry, we know Allen to be a good person, husband, and father who is greatly missed. Our heartfelt condolences and prayers go out his family and loved ones.
My condolences to the family. The loss of a loved one is never easy, but may you find peace and let God sustain you as you remember His promise that there will be a resurrection. John 5:28,29 says that those in their memorial tombs will come out. Rev. 21:3, 4 talk about a restored paradise where the human family will have the prospect of enjoying life without end, free of sickness, disease and death as we welcome back our dear loved ones. May you find comfort in God's word the Bible and a wealth of information on all areas of life at www.jw.com. May the many wonderful memories that Allen your loved one provided comfort you during this most difficult time.
Prayers for Florence(my sister) and her family. May the Lord hold you close through this time of loss. Remember him with happy hearts and great joy!!! God Bless!! Love ya, Dixie

Dad, you and Mom taught Larry and Jean and me to love, to thrive, be productive, be happy, make a difference, and leave this world better off than we entered it. You were Everything to us when we were growing up, and we realize we were everything to you too. I am so blessed to be your daughter. I miss you so much. We all miss you.
I'm Sherman, the passing of loved ones is painful. I just lost my father recently. And I'm sorry for Allen Lee Akers and family. I just wanted to leave a word of encouragement from the bible at Acts 24:15- where there's going to be a resurrection. Please contact me for any encouragement from the scripture.
