Obituary of Johnnie C. Jones

Johnnie C. Jones, 78, of Indianapolis passed away on February 20, 2016. He was born in Indianapolis, IN to John T. and Thelma Jones on December 12, 1937. Johnnie was the proprietor of J & J Plumbing and Heating and for over 20 years owned and operated Jones Plumbing. He was a member of Local Union 440, Moose Lodge “500”, and a lifetime member of V.F.W Lodge 908. Johnnie was a Master Mason belonging to the Logan Lodge 575, in addition the Scottish Rite and the Shriners for 43 years. Johnnie was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting. Johnnie is preceded in death in 1999 from his first wife of 42 years, Norma Ruth (Kemp) Jones and his parents, his stepmother Vineita Jones, and stepfather Palmer Wilson, and brother Jay T. Jones (Cheryl). He is survived by his loving wife of seven years, Catherine (Downs) Coffey-Jones, daughter, Connie M. Jones-Giroff, grandchildren, Kristen W. Sellmer, Nicholas B. Giroff II and Nichole N. Giroff; sister, Suzy (Gary) Henschen and six step-children Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a Masonic Service at 7:00 pm at Stevens Mortuary 5520 W. 10th St. Indpls, IN. Funeral services will be on 11 am Friday, February 26, 2016 also at Stevens Mortuary. Interment East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown, IN.
