Rita (McGlothlin) Herald, 57, of Bainbridge left us to be in Heaven on June 30, 2015. Rita was born on October 26, 1957 to Leo and Margaret McGlothlin. She retired from Marsh Supermarket in March 2007 after 26 years. She was a member of Harmony of Avon Baptist Church where she attended regularly until her health prevented her going. Rita fought health problems the majority of her life, but she never backed down from a fight. God finally decided that Rita had fought these battles long enough, and called her home to Heaven. She will be truly missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, Leo McGlothlin and son, Dustin Gipson. She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Ronald Herald; stepchildren, Ronald (Canise) Herald II and Anessa Herald-Starnes; mother, Margaret McGlothlin; brothers, Steve (Brenda) McGlothlin, Donald (Joyce) McGlothlin, David (Cinda) McGlothlin, Ben (Terry Miller) McGlothlin and Jeff McGlothlin; sisters, Cindy Moorman and Diann McGlothlin; several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 6 from 4 pm - 8 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indianapolis. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 7 at 10 am, also in the mortuary.
