Mary McFarland, 84, of Indianapolis, passed away on July 4, 2010. She was born on November 20, 1925. She worked for 9 years at Crestwood Village West as a Building 5 manager. Prior to that, she worked for 12 years as a housemom for the Pi Beta Phi Sorority at Butler University. Mary was preceded in death by her son, Charles W. McFarland. She is survived by her son, Larry (Thea) McFarland; daughters, Julia (Rudy) Schwenk and Nancy McFarland; grandchildren, Alex McFarland, Katherine (Kris) Tucker, Zachary and Lindsay Schwenk. Funeral services will be held at Stevens Mortuary & Family Center, Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Visitaton will be held at the mortuary Wednesday, July 7 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Burial will be at Washington Park North Cemetery.
