Condolences
Mary was a wonderful lady who was a very dear friend when we both worked at Crestwood. She was like a second mom to me and she was always there for great talks and good times. She will always be remembered so fondly and she will be missed greatly. Rest in peace Mary.
Mary I will forever miss you! What a small world it is! I first met Mary when my mother Sue Burns was the cook for Phi's and Mary was the house mom. I loved her the moment I met her. A few years after my mom had passed I ran into her again. She was managing the building in crestwood village that my mother in law lived in. What a pleasant surprise to run into her after all those years. She was truly meant to be in my life! Now her and my mother are in a better place together and can reminisce about all the wonderful times they had together! I love you Mary!
Nan,"Death is no more than passing from one room into another. But there's a difference for me, you know.Because in that other room I will be able to see."-Helen Keller-God bless you and your family.I share in your sorrow with love, sympathy and some great memories. If you ever need to talk I am a call away.Always,Pattie
"Mom" will be missed by many Pi Phi's. She holds a special place in many hearts. She was always there to listen and kept our house together.
Mary was the House Mom at the Pi Beta Phi house my sophomore through senior years. She was the person who helped build our confidence before a date and told us we looked beautiful and she was the person who let us cry on her shoulder when the date didn't go well. She was truly a wonderful lady. We enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow up! I could go on and on but truly I hope her family knows that she meant the world to all the Pi Phis at Butler! She became out Mom away from home!!
"Mom" was so much to so many of us during our years at the Pi Phi house on Butler's campus. She is one of those women who defies words adequate to express the love and gratitude felt for her. She will be missed by her "girls" who were privileged to spend a few short years with her, but who were forever impacted by her gentle and generous spirit and heart.
"Mom" was an extraordinary woman. She was so generous and kind to all of "her girls" at the Pi Beta Phi house. We all appreciated her sweet nurturing ways and the love and support she gave us.
"Mom" was a wonderful, caring person who will be missed. I have such wonderful memories of her during my time at Butler. She was a special person to put up with 60 teenage girls for many years!
She's a Pi Phi Angel in disguise. Mom was best at keeping the showers hot, the food warm and door open. I'm grateful for having a "mom" away from home. All her "girls" will miss her always. My prayers of peace to the family and to an even bigger IN Gamma family.
I was lucky enough to have "mom" care for me during the four years I spent at Butler, and I could not have asked for a more wonderful and loving person to fill that role. Although she will be sorely missed, I will never forget her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
Mom (Mary) will be missed. She was always willing to lend an ear to us girls. She often had excellent insight and great advice. She was such a sweetheart.
Dear Mom, you will be missed! Thanks for always being there! Love you bunches! Pi Phi Love, Michelle
Mom was such a special lady! I cherish the time that I spent with her at the Pi Phi house. Thank you to her family for sharing such a wonderful and caring person with me and the rest of the "Girls." My condolences to you and your family. She will be sorely missed by many, many people. Pi Phi love, Carla Hoagland Schuyler
