I lived next door to Adolph's mom in the 70's (parents George and Barbara Lee) I was about 8 or 9 when I saw Adolph and went over to say hi to him, I helped him with something he was doing there and when he finished washing his hands he took the empty bottle of Joy dish soap cleaned it out ran a piece of string threw the cap tied a knot in each end then showed me how to use this new toy I proceeded to squirt "soap" on unsuspecting people I did it to his mom she yelled at me he was laughing so hard he said get papas his aunt I did and she clobbered me he hit the floor. every time I think of him I remember that day I think he is the one who turned me into a prankster I will always cherish the memory of that day.

I am so sorry for you loss!! I was a fire fighter with Adolph in 1966 at Station 23 on the back end for about 2 years, then at Station 14 where he was my Lt. Adolph was a great man, I looked up to him for guidance with the fire department, but more importantly I considered him my friend. There were no masks or training we came on, so we depended on each other more than ever. We both loved talking about sports, the fire department and how to survive our line of work. When I start talking about "The Good Old Days" with my sons (who are both on the Fire Department today) Adolph's name always comes up, which is quite a tribute to him. He will be sorely missed!!!
