Condolences
“Through letters and cards, families will be able to hold that friendship in their hands and to read those kind words at a time and place that supports their pace of healing.” I got this condolence message from a friend and it really helps me to go through life. I hope this can also help you. Live life to the fullest. Cathy, Obituarieshelp.org
Mark, Colleen and family: We are so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter. Although we have not seen you in years please know we are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. Brooke was a beautiful girl who looked so much like her mother. May God keep you all in his arms as you endure this temporary separation. Memory Eternal.
I join friends and family and respect for and appreciation of the life and contributions of Brooke Lahr. Her zest for life was apprecaited.
While I never had the privilege of meeting Brooke, I am friends with her aunt Celeste and feel that I knew her through the wonderful stories Celeste shared with me and my late mother. I am heartbroken for her family, friends, and those that got to know her through her wonderful volunteer work. No words can heal your heart, but know that prayers and love are being sent to each and every one of you who are now at such a loss. May God hold and comfort you as you walk this difficult path, and may you know His love surrounds you and all those who loved your daughter, granddaughter, niece, and friend.
Dear Lahr family, I was heartbroken to hear the news of Brooke's passing, and am very disappointed that I cannot make the viewing or funeral. However, perhaps it is appropriate that I am celebrating her life in Guatemala, where she did so much good. What a beautiful life she lived.
Mark, Colleen, Anthony and Paul... Stan and I are deeply saddened to learn of Brooke's passing. I remember when she was born and as a baby was at one of BD's football championship games at the Hoosier Dome. She was a bright talented young lady who left this earth much too soon. So many have benefited by knowing Brooke and too many will miss out having this wonderful woman in their lives. You can certainly be proud of who Brooke became and the worthwhile helpful life's work she chose. Your entire family are in our prayers.
Mark, Colleen and family, Just offering my heartfelt condolences in regard to your loss of Brooke. What a wonderful young woman she was. Warmest Regards to all of the family, You have all been in the BD family's thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Pris Dillow
We were so very to hear of Brooke's passing. She was such a sweet young lady. You have been in our thoughts and prayers.
Colleen and Mark, I remember Brooke clearly when she was playing softball and volleyball with my daughter Michalin. She was a beautiful young lady and I remember her being a bit shy but mostly polite and smiling all the time. I know my daughter is deeply sadden at brookes passing. My heart goes out to you both and your entire family! I believe Brooke will continue her work in heaven and reading of all her accomplishments in her young life was heart warming! Please know I am praying for you and am so sorry for the loss of your daughter! What an amazing young woman she was!My sincerest sympathys! Tracey (Siener) Jaffri
My deepest sympathies are extended to the Lahr Family in the lost of your loved one. Brooke was a class act who lead by example which was emblematic of her parents. Remember when everyone has left and gone home that God will always be there to hear your prayers, to soothe your tears, and to help heal your broken heart! ~ Rev Carl V Nelson [Retired Ben Davis High School Staff Member]
Mark, Colleen & Family: So very heartbroken to hear about Brooke. I remember her following us around the training room. Please know you are in my prayers and thoughts during this difficult time. God Bless, Jenny (Orme) Pierce
No one knows why bad things happen to those so innocent and whose life has hardly begun. For now it will have to remain the painful mystery that it is. Losses like this can make us challenge our faith; however, this is precisely the time when our faith needs to be its strongest. I am praying that your faith will help you through this very difficult time and help you to know that God's purpose, whatever it may be, is at work. I pray that you will find the strength to get you through your grief and sadness.
We are so very sorry for the sudden loss of your beautiful daughter. I did not know her, but I enjoyed reading about her love for mission work. She must have been a wonderful human being. My husband and I went to Ben Davis and knew Mr. Lahr. We will keep the entire family in our prayers.
Colleen, I never knew your family but I grew to know and care about you during my two years working with you at Scecina. I lost my only brother many years ago in a traffic accident and I know what I went through, not to mention what my parents went through. Please know that I truly feel your pain and loss and know that I am praying for you and for your family. God will sustain you and He will lift you above this. Let Him carry you right now. Love to you, Julie Alexander
