First Visitation
Condolences
I join friends and family in respect for and appreciation of the life and contributions of Gilbert Johnson.
Dear Dad,
Always remember that I love you. By now, you and Mom have found each other; I would have loved to hear the first conversation the two of you had. I'm sure neither of you could answer the other fast enough - that is, Dad, if you could get Mom to sit down from being busy! Remind her that heaven is always clean and the neighborhood pets are never homeless or hungry.
Dad, thank you for all you did for me; you enriched my life in too many ways to count. You were still teaching me (at 59) to "pay attention!" What an honor for me to be your daughter, to share my whole life with you, 59 years, wow, and 53 years shared with both of you. How many people get that chance?
What great "teachers "both of you are! I say "are" because you two are imprinted on my soul, and it's my turn now to "carry" you in my heart. Climb in right beside Mom; your big chair is in place, and I, (as do Keith, Terry, Eric, Jaime and their families) still have a lot to learn!
See you later! Don't ever forget that I love you!
Your "Bug" Rita
Rita and Jaime,
So sorry to hear about your dad. He was one of the good guys. Your dad liked nothing more than giving advice or telling a good story. He excelled at both. He will be remembered fondly.
