Obituary of Helen Roush Pierce-Sweetman
Helen I. Roush Pierce-Sweetman, 82, of Indianapolis passed away January 19, 2013. She was born April 2, 1930 to Lafayette A. and Edith A. (Knight) Roush, both preceding her in death.
Helen was a member of the George Washington High School 50 year club and Chapel Rock Christian Church. She retired from DOW Chemical after 25 years of faithful service.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 18 years, David B. Sweetman who passed away in September of 1991; sisters, Betty Adams and Dorothy Grott and brothers, Lafayette A. Roush Jr. and Max C. Roush.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Linda L. Harris; sister, Eileen M. Davis; grandchildren, Kelly (Matt) Scudder and Kevin (Angela) Harris and 2 great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Ava Scudder.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 22 from 3 pm - 8 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 23 at 11 am also at the mortuary. Rev. Dean Dickinson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674.
