What joy to see "Mom" so peacefully at rest today. I will miss the long distance conversations we shared and her wonderful laugh. She had a gift of being able to laugh at herself and with others. She did that well and often. I will take that simple gift we shared, pay it forward and in that light, cherish it forever. Heaven is happier with Helen's arrival!

Dear Aunt Helen, you will be truly missed. I can still hear your laugh...loudly...LOL. You always made us laugh. Even though when I was little you always bought me underwear for Christmas. On the day my grandfather was buried, Helen made Jeff and me laugh so hard I thought we were going to be thrown out of the funeral home. I was so grateful to her for that--it was a wonderful reminder of how joyful life is, even when we're focused on death. Helen, we miss you. Thank you for all that you have been (and are) to my family.
