Condolences
Brian--So sorry to hear about your dad. Roger & I were out of town June 28 through July 3 & learned of your loss later via Chapel Hill Methodist. We both sympathize, having lost our parents. We're sure you have lots of great memories to help you through this hard time. We hope you, your mom, & your sibs (& Kristi) are doing ok. Thinking of you, Amy & Roger
I join friends and family in respect for and appreciation of the life and contributions of Mr. Swift.
Dearest Kathy and Swift children: Our thoughts are with you as you celebrate the life of a wonderful husband and father. The loss of our Dad is so fresh in our memories; but, what a joy it was to renew the friendships with those who were so close to Dad and Mom (Janet and Norm Legge)over all these 60 years. Hang on to the memories and turn on the Swing/Big Band music to channel his loving spirit when your heart is lonely. Bill is forever with us in the smile he readily shared. Warmest hugs from California.
I remember Bill as "Mr. Swift," the quiet and somewhat mysterious presence in the family room, who graciously tolerated our raucous sing-alongs to his collection of Big Band records. Here's a big bouquet of "orchids in cellophane," Mr. S., from Teresa's old friend, "Susie" Olsen.
Kathy, Family, and Friends May caring family and friends comfort you. May thoughts of good times with Bill give you joy. May God's love and promise bring you peace. Deepest sympathy, Marianna Platt

May you find comfort in God's presece in this time of sorrow Lotz of Love! Judy and Bruce
Mrs. Swift, Theresa, Brian, Kristi and Martin: We are sending our thoughts and prayers your direction during this time of loss. Remember what my father always told me about the loss of a loved one. He said that as long as you keep them in your heart, and remember their touch and voice, they will always be with you to guide and protect you. Stay strong and continue on as he would have wanted.
Kathy & Brian we are sorry to see Bill's name in on-line obituaries. You were good neighbors over the years. I enjoyed playing golf w/Bill in the retiree league. I've missed the updates Evelyn used to give me after talking to Kathy. I can attest that losing a mate is devastating, but you can have comfort that he is in a better place now. Sorry I cannot come to service as I am visiting Mike in Akron until the end of this week. You will be in our prayers.
Kathy, Teresa, Martin, and Brian--you are all in our hearts at this time. Bill was a very special man who will be missed by many. I am glad I got to visit with him and Kathy a few times in recent years and that my children were able to make a connection with someone from their great-grandmother's generation. Love to you all, Kem, Rob, Noah and Hannah
