Condolences
I will always remember us greeting each other before and after church. Peace, Blessings, and Love, ❤️ Pastor Deborah
I loved sitting next to Ms. Payne when I was an usher. She used to save my seat right next to her on Sundays. We would talk and laugh throughout the service. She would hand me her communion every Sunday so I could open it up for her. I will always love her. So nice and sweet to me all the time. Marcia Lomax

My deepest condolences to the Payne Family. Your mother had so much wisdom. I remember her telling me that the way you get to know people is to serve. May she rest in peace. Praying for your strength. A life well lived. Love & Blessings, Deacon Deborah

Aunt LauWana was one of my favorite aunts. I remember her as a cheerful, and family oriented person. She always had a smile on her face that kept everyone smiling. I will greatly miss her. Rest In Peace my dear aunt. Billy Payne
I met Mother Payne many years ago when my family and I were members of LWCC. When my husband passed at the age of 30 from cancer, I was 29. We had 3 children. Mother Payne constantly checked on me, prayed for me. encouraged me and loved me and my children. She was a beautiful, spirit filled, loving, caring and kind woman filled with wisdom. The last time I saw her about 2 years ago when I visited LWCC...she remembered me and we embraced. Thank you to Kip and family for sharing your Mom with so many of us. May God strengthen you all at this time of sorrow. The Word of God says: to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord! We who are saved will see her again. R.I.H. Mother Payne.
The Elders and Deacons of Light of the World Christian Church would visit Mother Payne regularly in her care facility. It was always a pleasure and a joy as our visits were filled with laughter and reminiscing. She was an amazing and phenomenal woman who loved the Lord, her family and her church. The attached photo was taken at her last birthday party in early 2019. We are praying that the peace of God would reside with Her family. Mother Payne will surely be missed.
KIP and Family, you have my deepest condolences and prayers. I was blessed to be loved by her my entire life. Some families are so intertwined it's hard to know when the relationship began. Woman of Faith, Grace and Wisdom, she gave freely and loved freely. She will always be remembered and thought of. Kim said it best what a celebration in heaven.
Ted and I would like to send our sincere condolences to the family of Luwanna Payne. She was like a mother to me and my husband. Our visitations with her were pure delightful because she brought sunshine into the room. She ministered and counseled with us even though we were there to minister to her. She will be truly missed! We loved her so much! Deacons Ted & Stephanie Williams
My memory of Momma Payne was Godly, loving and full of laughter! She had great stories and wisdom to share. She always knew how to weave God unto the equation. My memories are warm and loving...she made you feel so good just being in her presence. RIH
My memories of Mrs. Lauwanna Payne are smiles and genuine love shown to others no matter what she was dealing with in her life. She is missed. Her beautiful smile is missed. But she has gone on to her blessed reward, relieved of all pain and sickness. My condolences to Kip, Kim and all of their families and friends. May God grant you His peace and consolation.
My wife Linda and I had the honor of meeting Mrs. Payne for the first time in February of this year. She was so happy to see us and we immediately fell in love with her smile and her wonderful sense of humor. We had so much fun singing hymns with her during our visits. She was such an encouragement to us that WE were the ones who were blessed in her presence! Mrs. Payne was a jewel in God's kingdom here on Earth and now she has received her heavenly reward: 'Well done, thou good and faithful servant." We extend our prayers and condolences to her family. Deacons William and Linda Wilburne Light of the World Christian Church
