Obituary
Obituary of Henry Goulet
Henry A. Goulet, age 86, beloved husband, dad, grandpa, and great grandpa, went peacefully to be with our Lord just after five in the evening on December 11, 2020. Henry grew up in Worcester, MA and was preceded in death by his parents Henry A. and Helen (Dardis) Goulet. He proudly served his country during the Korean War as an Airman 1st Class for the United States Air Force from November 1954 through November 1962, when he was honorably discharged. Henry married the love of his life, June (Reese) in May of 1958. This past May they celebrated 62 years together. Their marriage produced two daughters in which Henry was very proud. If you knew him, you knew of his daughters. Henry loved music and was a talented pianist. He also co-wrote a book titled The Art of Making Music on the Piano, with the hope of helping others learn how to play the piano and enjoy the music too. Henry worked for Fred Myers Piano & Organ, a Fort Wayne icon, from March 1976 through December 2010. He was loved by his students and customers, and he loved them right back. Henry's orneriness, humor, and stories will be missed by many, especially his family. No services will be held, but a private memorial is planned. Monetary memorials, in Henry's name, in lue of flowers can be sent to School of Rock Zionsville 675 S. Main St. Zionsville, IN 46077 (Checks should be made out to School of Rock Zionsville. Please put Henry Goulet Memorial in the Memo.) The money will fund children's music programs. Henry always said, "Get instruments in childrens' hands when they're young. It builds their confidence, their ability to learn math, and keeps then out of trouble!" Henry leaves behind his loving wife June, daughter and son-in-law Diane & Greg Aurand, daughter and son-in-law Michelle & Mark Walker, granddaughters Shelby Aurand, Morgan (Michael) Morrow, & Lauren DeBard, & great grandsons Hendrix Aurand and Jack Morrow. "Remember Dad, we will love you forever. Be good but not too good. We have a reputation to uphold! We will see you soon."
