Obituary of JoAnn Banich
JoAnn Banich, 62, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2023, after a brief battle with Metastatic Melanoma. She was born on August 6, 1960, with loving parents Anna & Joseph Banich Sr who preceded her in death, as well as great-nephew John Patrick Banich. JoAnn attended St. Michael & Cardinal Ritter High. She was a former member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church & St. Michael the Archangel Church. She was a member of the Slovenian National Home & a former KSKJ Bowling team member. JoAnn was previously employed by Aetna & Sagamore Insurance Companies, and by Some Guys Pizza for the last 18 years. She is survived by brother Joseph Banich Jr. (Jeannie), nephews Nicholas (Emilie) & Kevin (Audrey) Banich. She was “Great-Auntie JoAnn” to Morgan, Garrett, & James Banich. Visitation Monday, Feb. 27 at Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W 10th St, Indianapolis, IN 46224 from 4-7:30 p.m. with the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 3310 W. 30th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46222 at 10:30 a.m. with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Because JoAnn dearly loved her dogs throughout the years, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Indy Humane Society or to the Humane Society of Hamilton County
