Prayers for healing for JoAnns family. I knew her through her working at some guys pizza. She was the face of that business and why most people came there! She was absolutely delightful and everyone loved her and felt like she was their personal friend not just a customer. Right now there is a post on next-door neighbor and everyone is mourning her. Everyone speaks so highly of her and her friendship with them. She will be greatly missed and will always be remembered so fondly! May she Rest In Peace.

To the Banich Family and friends:Please know that JoAnn will always hold the flame of her spirit and soul within me. She would send me cards with lots of stickers for each holiday. We would write each other letters inside the cards to let each other know what was taking place in each other's lives. We would laugh a lot when we would talk to each other. And as I am quite a talker it seemed like I had met my match both with talking on the phone & with stickers both on the outside of the envelope & more on the inside. She even gave me stickers. It was such a treat to get them. I really hadn't seen her since her early youth. But, that didn't matter as we connected each time we talked. I will miss her so very much.

Joann was such a great caring soul. Always enjoyed my conversations with her and catching up on all things Ritter when stopping at Some Guys in Carmel. She was great to all and beloved by those that frequented SG in Carmel. Taken too early, prayer and support to all impacted by this loss. John Pitz
Dear Joe and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. My favorite memories as a child involve seeing you and Joann in Washington, PA when my mom and I would visit in the summer. I remember being afraid of someone's dog and JoAnn carried me to protect me from the dog jumping up on me when I was little. I last saw her in 1992 when I visited your parents before I went into the Peace Corps. I couldn't help but laugh when I was with JoAnn - she had a great sense of humor! She was also so kind in sending greeting cards with lots of wonderful animal stickers for all holidays. I wish we'd had the chance to see each other again.y heart goes out to you and your family ♥
To the family and close friends,
So sad to just see this posting. She was the face of Some Guys and that is how I knew her. She was always so friendly and great to talk with. Condolences.
We extend our deepest sympathies on behalf of the Humane Society for Hamilton County. Our thoughts and prayers are with JoAnn's family during this devastating time.
Dear Joe and Family,
My sincerest condolences to you and all the family. Joann was a dear lifelong friend. I’ll always treasure our school days at Saint Michael’s and Ritter High School and the extraordinary number of years of friendship.

Please accept my condolences to the Banich family and friends of JoAnn. We kept in touch by sending holiday cards to each other through the years. She held a special place in my heart. I loved reading her cards & enclosed letters. She will always hold a certain place in my heart.
Dear Joe and family,
We are so sorry for your loss, and our loss too. There are so many things I will miss about JoAnn, but her smile and her laughter will be at the top of the list.
One of her favorite church songs was “Only A Shadow”and the chorus goes like this:
“My life is in your hands, my life is in your hands, my love for you will grow my Lord, your light in me will shine.”
JoAnn was filled with joy, laughter and faith. Rest in peace our friend, you are forever in our hearts and now forever in his hands.
To Joann's Family and Friends,
My heart goes out to each of you on the sad news of Joann's passing. I was shocked to hear this news.
I visited with Joann on numerous, numerous ocassions, when I was picking up or ordering our family's "Some Guys Pizza." Joann and I would talk about her dogs and our family's dogs. Joann LOVED dogs. Joann will be missed each time I grab my pizza at "Some Guys." Joann was a sweet soul. RIP Joann.

I was very sad to hear about JoAnn's passing. We were friends growing up. She was always fun to be around. I enjoyed catching up with her when I was back in town for reunions or other gatherings. I loved her sense of humor and her beautiful smile. Rest in peace, JoAnn. My condolences to all her family and friends.
I’m so incredibly sorry to hear of JoAnn’s passing. I worked with her at Sagamore & we hit it off famously. Years & life took us different directions. I remember her beautiful smile & she was always laughing. Just an all around kind & fun person. May she rest in peace. I pray for all of you mourning the loss of JoAnn. Such a beautiful tribute. God bless. Joanna Brown

I met JoAnn at Holy Trinity, when both of us were regularly accompanying our parents to Mass. Her dad Joe and my dad Eddie were lifelong friends and members of the Holy Trinity Class of 1938, and our parents had taken several road trips together after they retired. JoAnn was a tremendous blessing to the Stergar family, because her attentiveness to her parents allowed four dear friends and other fellow classmates to see one another weekly. As her parents aged, she sent their Christmas cards for them in addition to sending her own, as she knew that tradition was important to them. She even made sure that her dad’s pockets were filled with candy on Sundays, and I benefited from that generosity many times! We talked a couple of times about the rich blessings that were being bestowed upon us as we served as our parents’ co-pilots, and we agreed that we wouldn’t trade that privilege for an easier path. Loved ones of JoAnn, the Stergar-Sheets family is saddened by the loss of a former Holy Trinity family member. May you be comforted by precious memories of your sister, aunt, and great-aunt as you celebrate her presence with the Lord.
— Susan (Stergar) Sheets
I remember JoAnn from Holy Trinity and her friendly personality and ready smile. Rest in Peace, JoAnn. My heartfelt condolences to the Banich family for your loss.

Joe and family:
JoAnn was one of my first friends when I came to St Mike's in second grade. We played on the same kickball team together and later, in high school, we had a one season of coaching kickball together which made it clear coaching was not to be a profession. Later, all those summers at the Marian pool playing euchre, running to the Mc Donald's on 16th Street to grab sodas and the annual summer luau's are memories I will never forget and treasure always. She was one of the most kind, thoughtful and cheerful people I have ever known. I am so sorry for your loss.
