Aunt Dorothy could hug you so tight that you knew that she loved you and you also suspected that hers was the last face you'd see before the lights would all go out. She was a tremendous, tremendous person and that is clear in the quality of her family, my cousins.

As a child I viewed my Grandmother and her daughter Dorothy through the same lens. They were angels. And it is clear to me as an adult that I had it right all along.

I remember when Dorothy saw me at St Joseph’s. She asked if I was a Hopper and I said yes! She said you look just like your mother and I said you had to be a Bates because you look just like your mother! We both laughed. It brought back Good memories of her, Delores, Bernie and Theresa with my sister Mary and me,

I remember Mrs.Dorthy giving me the best hugs and she was always there to greet anyone that come in. I will forever be grateful for knowing this lovely God fearing women.
