Mrs. Trusnik is one of the classiest ladies I ever met. It's almost impossible to articulate, but I know that I learned to be a better human being by observing and spending time with Mac and Shirley. It is a debt that can never be repaid, but I cherish the time I spent among the Trusniks.
Best Aunt ever! And I'm counting both sides of my family. Very laid-back but with a sharp wit and amazing kindness. I will miss you, as will everyone else who's ever met you. I know you will still look over your family as you did when you were here.

What a wonderful tribute to your amazing Mother! May she Rest In Peace and her memory be a blessing to you all.
Rest in peace, Shirley. You were a treasure.

We met in first grade at Holy Trinity, shared St. Mary's, CYO,Marian, and all the history and memories through the years. Her girls were my students at St. Chris ( and good kickball athletes!) We have met for a number of years at McD in Speedway. If it was Friday, we were there. Shirley, you always walked in God's shadow, now see His Face forever. Happy reunion.
Our condolences, thoughts and prayers.
When I was a kid, my Aunt Shirley would periodically invite me to their home for a week or so during the summers. Her youngest sister, Carol, who is 2 years older than me, lived with them too and it was always fun for us to hang out. My Aunt included me in several of their family activities – like going to the circus.
Anyway, one day during one of those summer visits, Shirley was going to the grocery and told us kids that we had to stay home and keep out of trouble. Well, being kids – and the cat being away – we came up with this plan. (Actually, I think Carol came up with this plan.) As soon as Shirley left for the grocery, I was to get on my bike and ride down to the drug store, get us kids a stash of candy and get home before Shirley did. Shirley leaves and off I go. Everything was going according to plan, and I’m on the homestretch when I hear a car. I looked over and there is my Aunt Shirley driving right next to me. Needless to say, no one got candy. Lol! I’ve remembered this story all these years like it was last week – I even harass Carol about it sometimes, in fun of course.
Shirley was a vibrant being, with a passion for her family, and she will be missed terribly. But it’s our memories and the stories that we share that will always keep her close to our hearts.
Aunt Shirley, Godspeed til we meet again.
Mrs. Trusnik was a very kind woman. She and her family, always worked hard at the St. Christopher festival.
She raised a very special family. She will definitely be missed.
Our Prayers will be with the Trusnik family.

I was a neighbor and have known Shirley for 64 years. Her sister Carol and I were best friends growing up and I spent many days and nights at the Trusnik’s. Shirley was always kind to me and treated me like one of her own. I was not crazy about the breakfast we had after spending the night there. Shirley gave us cereal with “warm” milk. Ugh! Ha ha! I remember when all of the kids were born and watched them grow up.
Shirley and Mac became good friends of my parents and she worked with my mother at the track.
I know Shirley is enjoying a huge reunion in heaven with Mac, Tim and the rest of her family and friends.

Shirley was my supervisor. She was always helpful, kind, calm, and upbeat. She was very organized. I remember “tidy time” and “coffee time” She will definitely be missed by all that knew her. My sympathy and condolences to her wonderful family.
