With my deepest sympathies. So sorry to hear about Gene’s passing.
Ila Thompson
To Karen and your family, especially Kris, we are sad to hear about Gene's passing. He was a vibrant and unforgettable person in all our lives. We'll always remember our wonderful across-the-street visits on good ol' Lockerbie. Best of wishes for all of you as you say "See ya later". Robin and Lynn, Lakeland, Florida.
Karen - We haven't seen you or Gene since before you had children. I loved looking at all the pictures -- they prove what a wonderful life both of you enjoyed. Bob and I have talked about you often. We were just dating when we came to your home, and tomorrow we'll celebrate our 60th Wedding Anniversary.
God certainly blessed you with a beautiful family, and I loved to see all the smiles. We have ten children, 32 grandchildren, and seven great-grandbabies so far. Bob is in an assisted-living apartment at St. Paul's Hermitage in Beech Grove.
Treasure the memories - you have a beautiful smile, and I'm sure Gene would want that to continue. May God bless you and your handsome family.
Karen I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Gene. We always enjoyed seeing and visiting with you both when we attended Ben Davis Christian Church. May God surround you with peach and comfort during this time. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. Charmus and Donna Emanuel
Gene was such a dear, dear man and will be missed by everyone that knew him. I have never seen a love as strong and yet tender in a married couple as I have with Gene and Karen. They are an inspiration to all that are fortunate enough to know them. There is no doubt that even with Gene’s passing, this love will continue. This love shows in the faces of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. My thoughts and prayers are with you all❤️
Sending our thoughts and prayers to the Calvert Family. Gene was a valued customer for many years. We were so glad he joined our team when he retired from the car business. Gene always had a smile and a good word to share with our people here...just a great guy!

Gene was my second dad, I’ve been an “adopted” member of the family for 45 years. I’ve never met a nicer man. Gene always had a smile on his face and a kind word. I’ll always remember his smile and his laugh. My sincerest condolences to the Calvert family.
