When I returned to Marian as Alumni Director in the 90's, it was a great pleasure to meet faculty and staff who were new to the school since my graduation. One of those individuals was Fr. Frank Bryan. He became a cherished friend and was a great supporter of Marian and of our alumni. Our alumni boards started many programs during that time, and often they included Mass, a prayer service or some program of religious significance. No matter what his schedule already had on tap, Fr. Bryan re-arranged things to accommodate events during times when our alumni would be back on campus. He told me that he enjoyed seeing the end product of Marian's educational program. Our alumni confirmed for him that our graduates were deeply involved in their communities and were making a difference in society. I was always so appreciative of his support and guidance. He will be sorely missed by those whose paths he crossed, and most of us who served on the faculty or staff will never see an Amaryllis again without a thought of this master gardener.
