Kathy was my best friend when our girls were little. We met and bonded immediately. I always admired her spirit and her heart. She was just a little older than I was and I always thought we had a relationship like sisters would have. I missed her when she moved back to Indiana but we could go years not talking and pick right up when the phone rang. I will miss her because even though I did not talk to her, I thought about her and how much her friendship meant to me often. I hope to continue to watch over Erika's family and see what Kathy started.
