Grandma Shirley had a sweet soul and a beautiful smile that went all the way up to her eyes. You couldn't help but smile if she was. I love the way her cheeks plumped up and her eyes crinkled when she smiled. This reminds me of my favorite Dr. Seuss quote, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." Smile because she was your friend or sister. Smile because she was your co-worker or grandma. Smile because she loved you and that love is smiling out in the universe ready to lend a smile to someone who lost theirs.
