John and I were best friends since the seventh grade. We had a lot of fun together. I moved away from A Indianapolis in the 80s. So we lost touch with each other. Although we were miles apart, I thought of him from time to time and remembered some fun thing we did. For some reason I was thinking of John (Lucky) yesterday and looked up his name. I was saddened to see read of his passing. He is missed. My heart goes out to Carol and their children and grand children.
I worked with John for four seasons at the Vic. What I’ll miss most about him is his enthusiasm for the game of baseball and what he brought to the park itself. And his never ending curiosity of greeting fans before game time never ceases to amaze me. RIP to you my friend and thank you for your friendship.
I feel so honored to have memories of John. It won’t be the same going to an Indians game or the Taste the Difference Festival without John there. Carol, you and your family are in my prayers.
We are thinking of all of you! Nicole & Michael Kobrowski
