She was born in Decatur, IL and reared in Columbus, OH, Cleveland, OH, and Fort Wayne, IN. She earned a bachelors degree in Public and Environmental Affairs from Indiana University, Bloomington and a certificate from International Business College, Fort. Wayne. During her career she worked at Lincoln National Bank, Morris Plan, The Indianapolis Star-News, Bell Industries, and the State of Indiana. She is survived by her sisters Virginia Cowen, and Theresa (Peter) Crean, and brother-in -law Kurt Hedegard, nieces Kathleen Crean, Stephanie Crean, and Virginia Hedegard, and nephews Mason Hedegard and Peter Crean, Jr. For those who knew her, we ask that you remember her for her empathetic, sensitive, and loyal nature. As we navigate this difficult time, we are focusing on celebrating her life. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, May 7, 2021, with a memorial gathering from 2:00 PM until time of service.
