Condolences
I met Mike at UPS and worked with him for 20 plus years. He wasn’t my co worker, he was my friend. We parked next to each other and walked in every morning. I never met his family, but I can tell you his wife was a nurse, son was on ice breakers all over the world, daughters were in San Antonio and DC and were on the move constantly. For sure, you were in his thoughts every day. Take comfort in that. I had dinner with him recently and we laughed as always and told each other we would see each other soon. Until we meet again Mike! God bless your family and rest easy!

To the family of Mike: I had the privilege of working with Mike and had great respect for him as a person and coworker. I was in management, and he was the Union Stewart. We had mutual respect on all things even if we did not agree with one another. During the 1997 strike there was a group of part timers yelling at me and saying disrespectful things. Mike told everyone in the crowd not to say one word to me, because I was his friend and was a good man. I appreciated him for that and for always being fair in his dealings. Thanks to the family for sharing Mike with us. Stay encouraged.

I am sorry to hear about the passing of my friend mike. He was the greatest union Stewart. The relationships that I had at ups I will cherish the rest of my life. RIP Mike pastor Ronnie Evans

Rest In Peace my friend! You will be missed. Prayer for your family.
I met Mike at UPS in 1979.
Our friendship started with discovering that we shared mutual friends. Not surprising, because it seemed to me that Mike rarely met a stranger that didn’t become his friend. A very genuine person who was so fun, humorous, laid back, a joy to be around.
He told me that his wife, Louise was his Angel whom he attributed to saving his life.
Thank goodness for Social Media that gave us the opportunity to stay in contact for many years.
Our kids were around the same age and we talked talked about them more than anything else.
Mike was a very proud Father. I enjoyed hearing about his kids accomplishments with education and starting their careers. He worried about them a lot in recent years. Mainly for their safety. As a good Dad would. It was rewarding to see them chart their own paths yet the miles apart were a difficult adjustment.
We talked about Politics often. I’ll leave it at that, but will say that in a few days I know that Mike will be watching intently from the same side line that I will be watching from.
I am so very sorry for Mike’s family. A huge loss at far too young of age. I pray that with each message you read, you find comfort. And hope that memories of your husband, your Dad and your brother will ease the pain during your darkest moments.
Godspeed my friend, until we meet again.
My family had the upmost privilege knowing the Strack family. We spent lots of bleacher time together watching our kids play soccer. Mike, of course, was usually in his UPS browns. One fond memory of Mike is when we’re all sitting on the screened in porch. The Strack family cat was the biggest, fattest cat you have ever seen. That cat only wanted to hang with Mike even though he acted like he didn’t really like the cat. I think it was for Ben’s graduation. We are just heartbroken for you Louise, Lauren, Ben & Sydney. Much Love to you all, Lynn, Dennis, Evan, Jordan and Ethan Roach
My deepest sympathy to the entire Strack family. I have known Mike since 1st grade. Highschool we called him Michael "J", as he had a cousin that went to Ritter as well, also named Mike so he became Michael "P". Last time I saw Mike was when he was in GA to visit his daughter in Statesboro & he came down to Savannah & we got together for cocktails & the Colts game. So,so, sorry for your loss, it breaks my heart.
Thought and prayers out to all of the Strack family! Mike was a great guy and respected by all at UPS! Always there to help you out no matter what! Gone way too soon!
The month of May at the INDY 500 just won’t be the same!
REST IN PEACE MIKE!

My deepest sympathy to the Strack family. Mike was very well respected at UPS by everyone who came in contact with him. Prayers for God’s strength to comfort all of you through this very difficult time.
My deepest condolences to Louise and the kids. It was obvious that Mike loved you all very, very much. What can I say about Mike, my friend & coworker? Integrity pretty much sums him up. My career at UPS would have been much shorter if Mike hadn’t been my union steward. He went above and beyond to save my butt many times. I also lived in Plainfield and poor Louise was frequently taking lunch $ money to my kids at school when I forgot to send it. The Stracks are an amazing family. ❤️ RIP Mike

So many great times with Mike and Rick. What a huge loss to so many. Sending love, hugs & prayers to Mike's entire family. XOXO
Strack Family,
Your dad was a wonderful man and I feel lucky to have known him. Even years after Lauren and I were still close, he would great me with enthusiasm when I ran into him and in show genuine interest in my life. What a tremendous loss. I am grateful for many memories with Mike and the Strack family, from F1 races, to family meals, road trips for Lauren's college graduation, and a day at Busch gardens. I hope he's resting easy and you're all being gentle with yourselves during the time. I'm thinking of you all and sending healing thoughts your way.
Love,
Sara
Mike, where to start....He was like an uncle to me. Not a regular uncle, but one i actually wanted to talk to and learn from. I met Mike in UPS (07) where he was my Steward. I was young and wild. He schooled me in the way of being an adult and doing adult things. I went to my first Indy Car race with him in St Pete FL. He was one of, if not the most kind, trusting, helpful individuals i know. He always talked about his kids and how good they were doing and how proud he was of them. After meeting the family, i understand why he always talked them. A man that touched so many hearts, and was taken way too early. God speed Mike!
With love
