Memories of motorcycle rides and uncle Jackie always making time to spend with us whenever he could. Will miss you and I love you Uncle Jackie.
Uncle Jack always lent an ear and was always fun to hang around with. From talking about baseball and motorcycles to losing to him and Bob in tennis doubles matches (sorry I wasn't very good at tennis Michael), I will always be grateful for the time we got to spend together. Love you Jack
I still have fond memories of Uncle Jack when I was a child and will always remember him, he was a really great guy AND he liked motorcycles.
I will very much miss and cherish my uncle Jack and am very grateful that my wife and kids got to spend time with him last summer in Indiana.
Over the years I got to spend time with Jack in California, New York, Florida, and Indiana. Thanks for the memories Uncle Jack and being there for me when I was a kid. Taking me on your motorcycle to get ice cream, amongst other thing. All good memories. Love you Jack.
Jack, John Obergfell, Dick Ridpath, others and myself entered the GMI program thru Allison in summer of 1958. We were ‘rushed’ by and pledged to Alpha Gamma Upsilon fraternity. Jack and I played tennis at Ballenger Park across street from fraternity house -- me for the first time (and I think Jack as well - based on his total lack of skills equaling mine). At least I like to think I had something to do with his love of tennis.
Made several terrifying trips, with Jack, between Indy and Flint during our four years of GM internment. I think we are all thankful for the opportunities GM provided and I am thankful for the gift of Jacks friendship. While we were never ‘close’ friends, it was so very comfortable. A memorable event occurred after graduation --- Indianapolis group of fraternity brothers built a raft with intention of traveling a grand distance down Ohio River. I think the traveled distance was measured in single digit miles --- the fun was measured in greater terms.
I went to Texas for 23 plus years and had little contact with Jack during this period. Upon my return our friendship resumed as if no time had passed. I will miss him, for now.
I worked with Jack at Allison for almost 30 years. I got to know Jack better after work playing bridge, going to Indians ball games and later playing bocce. I called Jack to see if he wanted to play bocce in a league run by the Italian Heritage Society. The games were played in the park by Holy Rosary church. Neither one of us has Italian heritage but we joined and had fun. We were team mates playing bocce for 8-10 years and had some success at winning the league.Bocce is a very social game and Jack fit right in. He loved to come to the bocce courts and talk Reds baseball with Joe Giacoletti, the bocce Commish.
These are fond memories. Jack will be missed.

Jack & I started to work at Allison Gas Turbines about the same year, 1963/64. He was always very helpful to me professionally and we later became personal friends. He was always interesting and easy to converse with. Jack will truly be missed by all.

Remembering Jack takes me back many years. He was a great friend of my late husband, John Obergfell, all through high school and college. They were fraternity brothers. Jack was in our wedding and we remained friends throughout much of our lives. Jack was always a delight to be around. Fly on eagles wings dear Jack!

Count me among those who thoroughly enjoyed being around Jack.
Thanks to our mutual very good friend, Joe Osburn, who coordinated many get-togethers over the past 10 years, I had that opportunity often.
Rest in peace, Jack
I knew Jack through Carl Meisberger and his brother Bobby and then married his Cousin Don Wright’s daughter Joani. I always enjoyed my time with Jack. He always smiled and was a very kind person. May his memories always be a blessing! Gregg Ossip
I’m so grateful to have known Jack. A gentle, caring, and kind Christian soul .. my deepest condolences to Patty, Susan, Barb, Thomas and Robert and the whole family. May the peace of Jesus be present as you celebrate and grieve and give thanks for a life well lived ..

Jack was a delight to be around and I spent many hours with him at the food pantry and during our volunteer times with the CSFP program through Gleaners. I cherish those memories and wish him peace in the life beyond.
I met Jack when visiting a friend in Assisted Living at Marquette. Subsequently, my friend, George, and I along with another in Assisted Living, Mary, played Bridge weekly until Asst. Living along with Health Care was placed lock-down as a cautionary action due to the Covid virus. He was an excellent Bridge player and most pleasant person. He will be missed. Jo Lesher
Jack was a high school classmate. He was a reserved gentleman at all times and was quite smart.
My wife was the last to see him at the St. Vincent Depaul Food Pantry We plan to be at his funeral.
