On Saturday, January 11, 2020, Kortni Lynn Cox, loving daughter and sister passed away at the age of 19. Kortni was born on December 17, 2000 to Jeff Cox and Michelle Koehl in Indiana where she has resided for all of her life. Kortni was known and loved for her fiercely independent attitude. When Kortni loved, she loved hard which is something we can all be so grateful for. Kortni was so loyal and so protective of the things and people she cherished most it was truly one of her greatest qualities. Kortni was the warmest glow on the darkest day, especially if she let you see her smile, it could warm the coldest of hearts. Kortni is survived by her parents; sisters, Kira Johnson and Kali Abell; brothers, Jacob and Jason Koehl; step-father, Chadd Koehl; step-mother, Ashley Cox; step-sisters, Sklay Haughton and Zoey Perkins; grandmothers, Brenda Chamberlain and Betty Cox; nieces, Ellie Duncan and Grace Koehl; nephews, Brayden Duncan and Lonny Jr. Duncan; and her first cousins, Dallas and Stacy Rhode.
