Samuel Thomas Baskerville, 86, of Indianapolis passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020. He was born in Indianapolis to Albert and Naomi (Kitzmiller) Baskerville on December 19, 1933. Samuel was a paratrooper for the 101st Airborne Unit in the United States Army. He worked at Brink’s Security for many years and at the Indianapolis Fire Department for 20 years before retiring. Samuel was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bob Baskerville and Donovon Baskerville; and sisters, Mary Maled, Nancy Reichle, Charlotte Semich, Helen Lukasik and Maxine Britton. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Ruth Baskerville; daughters, Laura, Jenny, Ann Marie and Melissa; grandchildren, Christopher, Samantha and Shell; great grandchild, Loretta Lee; brothers, Mike and Al Baskerville; and sister, Dorothy Lehr. Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan 13, 2020 from 4:00 PM until 7:30 PM with a Rosary at 7:30 PM at Stevens Mortuary 5520 W. 10th Street Indianapolis, IN 46224. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Jan 14, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church 3354 W 30th St, Indianapolis, IN 46222. Interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
