Sorry to hear Sam passed away. He and my dad started at IFD the same day in 1956 & became friends along with Al and Mike.
Sam was my brother in law and always had a hug & a smile for us. When our daughter was born, he was the first one there with a huge bouquet of roses. I’ll never forget that
He was fun loving and he and Mike would try to outdo each other with jokes.
He loved the Lord ,his family & Notre Dame......
That brightest star will be him watching over us.
Rest well my dear ✝️
Sam is my uncle and brother to my mother Maxine. He was always very jovial and easy to get along with, he was a very good singer and sang at my wedding in 1965 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He will be sorely missed by his wonderful wife and family.

May passing time, caring friends and loving memories, work gently through the coming days to help comfort his family.
My dear Ruth, I am so very sorry for your loss.. you and Sam found each other later in life, and had 35 years together. Thank you for loving him and nursing him through all his many health issues over the years. You are truly a special person. Please know that I am with you in spirit. God bless you, Ruthie. Love you, Monica
Such wonderful memories with Sam! I remember he always thought my parents named me after him. I absolutely loved when I got to see him and he was always such a bright light! He will be incredibly missed. We will be praying that even in such a sadness and loss that we can remember he is now in a beautiful place free from pain and sickness. There are no words to explain how sorry we are but as heaven is rejoicing for his homecoming, we will too! Ruth, I can’t wait to give you a big hug next week.
Love always,
Samantha ( Baskerville) Hagerty
