Condolences
Janet, I am sorry to hear about your loss. My condolences to you and your family. Sincerely, Gloria S.
A beautiful tribute to a beautiful soul. Fly high Ray-bee.
My deepest sympathy to the family, and friends of Smiley. I met Smiley in 1973 as a first year apprentice, working at the Allison plant in Speedway.I was a typical irresponsible 19 year old, coming in late,or not showing up for work at all.Smiley pulled me aside and told me I would never make it in the trade if I kept doing this.I remembered that the rest of my time in the local, and had the pleasure of working on many jobs with Smiley over my 45 years in the trade. He was a great man.and friend.Rest in peace Brother Ray.
First I would like to say my condolences to the family.
Second I would like to say that "Smiley" Norris was one person in my life that I will never forget. He not only made work fun but quit enjoyable! We were working on the Manual HS remodel in the 80's for Ling Oliver. There was not a day that went by that he didn't have me in stitches!...……..and yes we got a lot of work done because things went fast! A time in my life that I will NEVER forget!
Rest in peace dear friend I know I'll miss you and I'm sure others will too.
