Condolences
Oh how I wish our paths would have crossed one last time. My condolences to your brothers, sister, son, family and friends.

Dennis, how I will miss you at work. I will never forget the last time we spoke. You left work at noon and was so excited about your 4-wheeling trip with your brother. We spoke quite awhile and I’m grateful for that memory. You were unique and special to me. You always admired photos of my grandchildren. We discussed kids often, and you loved your son, Dylan, that’s one thing I know for sure. You loved nature and animals and you were a great conversationalist! I just can’t quite accept it yet that you’ve been taken from us. It really hurts. You were one of the best trainers at work because of your gift of connecting with people.
You respectfully allowed me to share my faith in Christ. I pray you and I will live in the same neighborhood in heaven because it would mean so much to see you again.
Rest in peace, my friend.
Condolences, prayers & peace be with each member of Hammond family. You are all in our hearts and prayers during this difficult time.
You are one of our very best friends! I sure will miss you. What a blessing it was to have the privlage of knowing you so well. Safe travels my friend.
I met Dennis when he first moved to the neighborhood. He’d cut firewood off my place, bring Hank over so I could ride, help put up hay, always stopping by to chat, drop off a bucket of pears or up for building a fire. Always looking for input about horses or to fix something. Lot of great memories with Dennis over the years. All around good guy. The neighborhood just got a little quieter without him here. Sure gonna miss him.
Giddy up Dennis.
Dennis was my best friend. We met at Ft. Irwin Ca. in 1985 when we both joined the company softball team. In the 1990's we grew apart and had not talked to one another for 20 plus years. Then in 2008 at my new job I'm walking down a long hallway and I see him at the other end. I tell the guy I'm with I know that guy down there. What are the odds we end up working at the same place? Being only a couple months apart in age we had so much in common that conversations were never slow.
We spent many a Monday afternoon talking about everything. I will miss him greatly.
I will always miss you calling me little darling and hearing you say giddy up! I love you my brother!

Dennis was more than a neighbor; He taught me about horses and helped with our fence. My husband best bud! He was a true outdoors man and a honorable friend. Thanked us for sharing our property. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten!
