Our deepest sympathy on your loss. With love and prayers, Tom and Marsha Cassels
Pa was one in a million. He took exceptional care of mom for a very long time. Caregivers deserve the highest degree of accolades. He was always there as a father figure. A man of few words, but you always knew where you stood because he would tell you. Pa LOVED Notre Dame football and passed that down to the entire family. Join a family viewing of a game and it could be quite raucus. I personally miss all of the happy family memories at the lake house. I loved going there for our big family gatherings. That was followed closely by going to Sarasota to visit ma and pa or as they affectionately called each other "gut" and "butt." Pa loved Florida and would have lived there full time if mom would have let him. That would make him laugh every time. He loved his children so much and talked about them often. He thoroughly enjoyed having them live with him when they were young and growing up. Additionally, he would share his love for serving his country in the Air Force. What a great reunion he had with his mom and dad, sisters, Stacie and Natalie. He was a momma's boy and I imagine it was great seeing her first with wide open arms. Much respect pa. You were the definition of a good and decent man.
