Condolences
I've just watched the tribute video of Joan and her amazing family and friends. It's a beautiful recollection but it does not do justice to the woman and her amazing life.
Having grown up next door to the family in Alamogordo I was privy to the lives of the fabulous five. Joan raised a wonderful family and there was never a dull moment on Wilson Avenue!
To be honest, I was not too happy when Don came and took her to Indiana but seeing her bloom over the years made it okay.
I will always remember her pearls of wisdom. Joan was not one to hold back. You always knew where you stood and I admired that in her.
I have the afghan she made me but I have to admit it's under a dry cleaning bag hanging in the closet. I'm afraid something will happen to it.
To Don and the kids, a breath away is not far to where she is. And as long as you have those beautiful memories she will always live.
My prayers are with Dean and Dave and their sisters. We grew up together in Marion, Indiana and shared a lot of time playing at each others homes.
Joan was always so nice and accepted the neighborhood kids her own.
With our religious faith we know she is now surrounded with precious children of God's, in heaven.
Please accept my sincere condolence prayers..
