I met Alan at CTCA last year and we became friends. From our conversations, he definitely had love for his family! It was nice seeing the beautiful video and putting some faces to the people he loved more than anything in this world. The last time I saw him, we were both in infusion and he had finally gotten some rest and was back to joking. I was sleeping and he asked my nurse for a marker so he could write on my face. Luckily she refused. Haha. I'm glad my last memory was of him smiling and laughing. Condolences to you all, may he RIP.
My condolences to the family. The loss of a loved one is never easy. May our loving God continue to bless and strengthen you as you remember that his Word the Bible at John 5:28, 29 says that there is going to be a resurrection. We are encouraged at 1 Peter 5:7 to pour out our heart to him in prayer because "he cares for you." Moreover, he promises that all who do so will have their thoughts and feelings soothed by "the peace of God that surpasses all understanding."
