Obituary of Mary Jane Kennington
Mary J. Kennington, 56, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on July 22, 2016. She was born in Indianapolis, IN to Ernest and Geraldine (Groth) DeFabis on November 30, 1959. Mary was a stay at home wife and mother. Mary loved to laugh, listen to music, see others happy, create memorable holidays for her children and anything that involved love. Mary was very proud of her husband, children and grandchildren. Mary’s best buddy was Harley, her Chihuahua. Mary was a cheerleader in grade school. In her later life, Mary traveled the US with her husband, William. She absolutely loved the beach and salt life. She gave her battle with Cancer a fight like no one had seen; surpassing medical statistics and expectations. She will never be forgotten and is loved deeply by so many. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband Mr. William Kennington; children, Joshua Davis, Christy Graves and Tony Earles; step-children, Nikki Davis, Amber Kennington, and Christy Kennington; sisters Diana Arnold and Jennifer Alexander; brothers, Joe DeFabis, Danny DeFabis and John DeFabis; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews; a special cousin, Sherry Reckas and her previous husband Tony Earles Sr.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests that donations be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
