Obituary of Susan J. Frazier

Susan J. (Whitsit) Frazier, 76, of Avon, passed away on May 2, 2016. She was born in Indianapolis, IN to Louis R. and Mary L. (Burress) Whitsit. Susan was the eldest daughter of two girls. She graduated from Howe High School in 1957. She married Robert Frazier and gave birth to three beautiful children. Susan spent her early years raising her children. Susan was the Army ‘wife’; constantly on the move, traveling around the world. She loved traveling, other cultures, sightseeing and exploring new adventures. Susan proudly served as the Cub Scout Den Mother, Brownie and Girl Scout Leader. She lived the busy mom life, the homemaker, wife, PTA mom and shuttle for three active children. Susan also worked outside of the house in retail. Later in life as she became an empty nester, she focused on herself and enjoying her crafts. She especially loved crocheting, knitting, cross stitching and gardening. Susan was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles done only in ink. Susan enjoyed donating to many causes in her life over a span of thirty years, including; Red Cross, American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity, March of Dimes, ASPCA, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Center, to list a few. Susan in her later years moved to Florida to enjoy paradise with her rekindled love from forty years past. Susan and Kent spent eleven wonderful years together. Susan moved back to Indiana four years ago where she lived in Avon. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 33 years Robert R. Frazier; sister, Linda (Whitsit) Dimmett; partner in love, Kent Smith. She is survived by her daughters; Rebecca (Arthur) Finn-Bolton, Janice (Gordon) Haley; son; Steven (Cindy) Frazier, three grandchildren; Jessica (Bolton) Sullivan, Curtis Bolton, Frazier Haley, and one great grandchild; Emmaleigh Sullivan.
