Thoughts and prayers for all of the family during this difficult time. - Meriann
I am so sorry for the loss of your son. My husband was a friend of Russ and Grace's he was on the sheriff's dept and love them. We lost our son to an overdose 7 years ago he was 36. I know the pain you are going through and I wanted to let you know that I will be praying for you and your family. There are no words that will ever make you not hurt but know that he is at peace now.

Mike I am so sorry for your loss. I will be praying for your family.
My heart goes out to the Nelis family. There are no words to express my feelings as addiction is so close to home. It is very hard for some to understand it unless they've lived it and I truly believe there is hope for those struggling so badly with it. It is heartbreaking to see such a wonderful family go through so much pain. I did not know Jordan well but I've heard wonderful things about him and I know he loved his family. I do know his brother Jared, he is another son to me and my heart is breaking for him. I cannot imagine how hard this is for all of you. I'm so sorry. I wish I could take some of the pain away. I love you all very much. God is holding him now and there is no more pain for him.
God bless you all.
My condolences on this tragic loss to your entire family. May good memories shine in your hearts.

I'm very sorry, and I feel like nothing I can say is good enough. I found this poem that was written for another mother who lost her child to an overdose.
A Mother's Love
Losing a child
is torturous pain
Where nothing,
can comfort that mother
She's wanting and needing,
her child back again
That child can't,
be replaced by another.
The truth is that child,
is part of her being
Part of her body, and soul
And if by chance,
that child's taken away
A mother no longer,
feels whole
She suffers a terrible
hole in her heart
That nothing,
on this earth can fill
She's aching, she's dying
and falling apart
Wondering how,
this could be part of GOD'S will
She struggles each day,
to get out of bed,
And knows somehow,
that she must go on
She deals with the sadness,
and faces the dread
Knowing that,
her sweet child is gone.
Some try to support her,
with words, and deeds
Saying things,
that just bring on more pain
When there's only 1 thing,
that poor mom truly needs
It's to be with her child
once again
So for every mother,
who has lost their baby
There's no pain on earth,
that is greater
So please know for sure,
and no, not a maybe
That you'll meet with your child,
again later
Because it's through dying,
That we are reborn
To heaven,
with our GOD above
Entering with peace,
into eternity
It is there
You will meet up with love
So beautiful mother,
please don't you cry
Don't grieve, hurt,
and live torn apart
Because you will be,
with your child once again
But for now,
That child lives in your heart.

So so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prays!!
So very saddened and sorry for your loss. We have such found memories of both Jordan and Jared playing baseball with our son, Jameson, at Eagledale. Jimmy and I thought highly of Jordan- not only was he a great player, he was a great sport with the best of attitude. Good good kid.
Jared and Jordyn and Jordan's parents. Our deepest sympathy! We know you will be surrounded by family and friends to help you thru this very difficult time. May you all be embraced by Gods love!
