Obituary of John A. Hren
John A. Hren Jr., 83, of Brownsburg, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2016. John was born on February 25, 1932 to John A. and Matilda (Verkonik) Hren, both precede him in death. Also preceding him in death is one brother Frank “Butch” Hren and in 2010, his loving wife of 58 years, Mrs. Mildred “Mickey” (Flusche) Hren. John was a U.S. Army veteran and served proudly in the Korean War. He was a beloved husband, brother, uncle and loved animals. In 1992, John retired from Indiana Bell after 40 years of employment. John was a life-long member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and an avid fan that enjoyed cheering on the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. He is survived by his sister Mary (Larry) Dorris and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 9:00 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:00 a.m. in St. Malachy Catholic Church 9833 E County Rd 750 N, Brownsburg, IN 46112. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery 435 West Troy Avenue Indianapolis, IN 46225. Stevens Mortuary 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls is entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, in honor of John, you may make a contribution to a charity of your choice.
