Obituary of Martin Miller
Martin Miller Jr., 92, of Indianapolis passed away December 17, 2015. He was born June 20, 1923 in Indianapolis, IN to Martin L. Sr. and Magdalena (Koers) Miller.
Martin proudly served in the Air Force from 1943 – 1945 in the 17th bomb squadron and the 448th bomb group. He was a nose gunner on a B-24 liberator named Gremlens Roost. He was a member of the American Legion Post 500 and the WWII Round Table of Indianapolis as well as a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church. Martin was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus.
Martin is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie M. Miller; children, Kathy (Mark) Downey, Sherrie (Pat) Hennessy, Michael Miller and Doug (Jill) Miller; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and sister, Shirley Pettit.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 21 from 4 pm – 8 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 22 at 12 pm in St. Christopher Catholic Church, 5301 W. 16th St., Speedway.
