Joe Purichia, 51, of Indianapolis, passed away February 18, 2010. He was born September 11, 1958 to Spiro A. and Mildred Purichia. Joe graduated from Decatur Central High School and played many sports. He worked for Shiel Sexton Construction as a superintendent and was the assistant football coach at Cardinal Ritter High School for 15 years. Joe also coached for CYO at St. Michael Catholic Church for 15 years. He is survived by his parents; stepsons, Brandon and Ryan White; stepdaugher, Stacey White; sisters, Terry Newsom, Trina Purichia and Catherine Nucklolls; brother, David Purichia; several nieces and nephews and Sharon White, his companion of 21 years. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 22, 2010 at Cardinal Ritter High School, 3360 W 30th St, Indpls, from 2-7:00 pm, with the funeral service beginning there at 7:00 pm. Joe's brother, David Purichia will be presiding. A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, February 23, at Floral Park Cemetery at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in memory of Joseph Purichia to Cardinal Ritter High School.
