Hello my name is Sherman Anderson Jr, I'm extremely sorry for the loss of Jerry Young, and the pain Thomas and Betty Young is feeling. As well as his Sister and two brothers.. I hope in time and with the wonderful memories, the pain goes away. We can look forward to the hope of the resurrection. In Acts 24:15 the bible says: there's going to be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous. And in John 5:28,29: Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice, and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life. You can learn more at jw.org and the hope and promises the bible provides. And if you would like for someone to talk to you about the bible, you can request for a bible study and learn about its future hope with you. If you have any questions, contact me, Sherman Anderson Jr at Mr.andersonjr11@gmail.com.
I am so sorry for the passing of Jerry. I knew him for about twenty years and he was an awesome person. He was always quick to making people smile when they were down and helped out in any way he could. We will miss our friend and we would of been at his service if we knew when it was. No one notified us of his arrangements. Jerry will be missed, espeacially his smile. rest in peace my friend.
John and Teresa Henry

One downfall of my business is I occasionally have to pick up people that I have known. Many times it's a blessing because I can be there for the family. However today I picked up a guy who worked for me for several years back in the 80's when I had my cleaning business. He was an asset and helped me more than he knew. We were working nights and traveling from store to store (we had to keep each other awake lol).
He was an asset and helped me more than he knew.
WE HAD FUN!!
I was just starting the business and was working days soliciting new business and taking care of Marsh Supermarkets floor care. One time we left the Eagledale store and headed towards the Greenwood store. I went to sleep and when I woke up I looked around and not recognizing anything I said "Where in the hell are we Jerry!?!" He said " Oh I missed my turn." We were in GREENFIELD!!
He was an asset and helped me more than he knew.
BUT WE HAD FUN!!
Many times we would meet on the westside at the Shell station at Crawfordsville Rd and High School Rd and Jerry would park his car there and we would take off in the van for the night. We had done this for weeks. One morning we came back and his car was gone! I asked the manager if he saw anyone steal the car. He said " I had it towed". I asked why and he said "because I wanted it off the lot". I said he should pay the towing fee since we had permission to leave it there. He refused. I contacted the district manager to no avail. At this time $70 was a lot of money to me. My family and I had used Shell gasoline for years and I told them I would never put another drop of Shell gas in any vehicle as long as I lived. It has been 30 years and thousands of gallons later and I have stuck to my pledge. I'm sure they don't care nor have they missed the thousands of dollars.
BUT WE HAD FUN!!
Kind of long winded but Jerry never forgot how I stood up for him.
He was an asset and helped me more than he knew.
I often go on the west side of Indy and would always think of him and wonder how and what he was doing. He was a hell of a worker and would do anything I asked him to do.
AND WE HAD FUN!!
He was an asset and helped me more than he knew.
I would take him and other crew members to the track every year for corporate appreciation day. He and the others loved going there. Especially Jerry since there was LOTS OF FREE FOOD!! You see, Jerry was a rather corpulent fellow and he LOVED FOOD! Unfortunately that may have been the reason for his demise.
BUT WE HAD FUN!!
He was an asset and helped me more than he knew.
REST IN PEACE MY OLD PAL!!
I HOPE YOU'RE HAVING FUN!!
