Condolences
Hello my name is Sherman Anderson Jr, I'm extremely sorry for the loss of Doris Harrison, and the pain of your family. I hope in time and with the wonderful memories, the pain goes away. There is hope of the resurrection found in the bible. Acts 24:15 says: there's going to be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous. If this verse helps with hope and would like to learn more, you can visit jw.org and learn more hope the bible provides. And if you would like for someone to talk to you about the bible, you can request a person to study the bible and its hope with you at jw.org.
My condolences to the family. May you each draw close to our God by remembering His promises as we read HIs word. Please remember that it is possible for you to see Doris again because the bible tells us that there is going to a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous (John 5:28,29). Please check the site at jw.org for many more promises and if needed, someone to assist you in the privacy of your home with any bible questions you may have.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I met Doris through Bethel U.M. Church. I remember her ever ready smile and her genuine kindness to all.
May the love and many memories that you shared, sustain and comfort you.
So sorry for your loss of your mom
So very sorry to hear of Doris' passing, but also happy she is with Our Lord now.
We have been friends (and house cleaners and packers to move) of Doris for quite a few
years now and have always been impressed with her faith in God and her love of her family whom she always talked about. Her children and grand children were the loves of her life. Doris was a kind and gentle soul and she will be missed by many. God speed our friend!
Doris was one of my principal guides though my Christian Faith walk as we participated in many Bible studies together. She constantly challenged all of us to delve deeper and read more. She asked tough questions and made us all better Christians.
When I learned of her passing I remembered that in every one of those studies, if someone had a question that none of us could satisfactorily answer, Doris would say that she was going to go home and write the question down in her notebook. She would go on to say that when she stood before Jesus, she would pull out that notebook and get the answers.
As I sit here, I am envisioning Doris with her spiral notebook finally getting the answers to all of our questions!
Rest in Peace my friend. Candie
Doris was a true friend to my sister, Marty. We all will miss her, her smiles and her kindness. She was GOOD person.
To Todd, Keri, & Family,
I'm so sorry to hear of Doris' passing. She was a great lady and always took great care of us boys when we came to the house when we were younger. I was always impressed with her job at IMS organizing the Security Patrol. I don't know how she kept all those people and uniforms in order! We know she's in a better place now with Bill and no longer in pain but that doesn't make her passing any easier.
Please acceptance our condolences, we love you and let us know anything we can do for you!
I loved the slide show of photos. Great memories for you I am sure. And, I loved your mom. She was a friend and a teacher. She taught me through the way she lived her life and acted in all situations how to live life as a Christian. She walked the walk. I will miss her smile and laughter. I know she and Bill are having a great time catching up. My condolences to the entire family.
Too much too soon. My mom and your mom in the span of 2 months. Doris, Bill, Hal, Mom & Dad are all celebrating God's love together and of course playing cards, bowling, and laughing! Love the video of pictures; made me cry. Praying for all of us! We will all be there for each other just as they were for each other. The love continues...
I am so sorry for you loss God bless her and the family love Robbie & Larry temples
Doris was a faithful and thoughtful attender of our Friday Morning study. Whether we were in the Garden of Eden or wrestling Dragons in Revelation, Doris was always learning and growing, finding our Lord in the scripture, and finding ways to put God's teachings into her life. Her questions and comments revealed her faith and her confidence in her salvation and increased our understanding of our Lord. We will miss her smile and gentle humor and look forward to meeting her again in Heaven.
You have blessed us Doris, may the Lord likewise bless you.
Both of us will miss you, Aunt Doris. We feel very blessed to have had her as part of our family even for less than 20 years after my (Linda) mother was reunited with her adopted siblings, Aunt Doris and Uncle Dennis. You will always be in our thoughts and we will see you later on. Love you bunches. Your niece and nephew-in-law.
To a long time friend. Doris has been there for us for over 20 years. We love her and loved Bill. She is now with him again. Keri & Todd we are sorry for your loss. But happy Doris is out of pain. She has gone through so much. Pat & Larry W.
I am so sorry for the Harrison Family and your loss; I recently lost my Mom. I have found death to leave me with a feeling of helplessness. May I leave you this word of encouragement that has helped me? The Bible says at 1 Corinthians 15: 26 that God hates death, and shows it to be an enemy. He has "a yearning" to conquer that enemy, to undo death by means of the resurrection. He longs to bring back those who are in his memory and to see them live on earth again. -Job 14:14, 15. My sincere condolences.
