Obituary of Sofia Cvetkovich

Sofia Tasich Cvetkovich, 85, Brownsburg, passed away peacefully April 12, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. Born September 16, 1929 in Indianapolis she was the daughter of Veljko and Dragina Tasich. She married Milo Cvetkovich in August 1949. He preceded her in death in July 2014. Sofia graduated from George Washington High School in 1948. She worked at Indiana Bell Telephone Company for 32 years, retiring in 1981. She was a lifelong member of St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, The Circle of Serbian Sisters, and she also served as the church treasurer. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Chet, Mike, Marco Tasich and sister, Mary (Mara) Fields. She is survived by her children, Dorothy (Virgil) Cross, Stan (Carol) Cvetkovich, Millie (Sveto) Arsich and Alex (Tammy) Cvetkovich; grandchildren, Natalie, Nick, Mark (Amy), Stefan, Bato, Stephanie, Jelena, Elizabeth, Lillie, and Larkin. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 16 from 2pm - 8pm with a memorial service to begin at 7pm at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, 7855 Marsh Road, Indianapolis, IN 46278. A funeral service will be held Friday, April 17 at 11am with visitation from 10am until service time, also at the church. Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery. Arrangements: Stevens Mortuary.
