Sid was born 2 days before my third birthday. When Mom & Dad brought her home on my birthday, they told me she was my birthday gift. She was Maid of honor at my wedding. She took in my daughter& I when we were waiting for housing in Germany. And she came to visit us almost everywhere we were stationed. She will me missed very much.
Dear Gary and Family, we are deeply sorry for your loss of Sid. We are praying for the Lord to provide you with a greater understanding and awareness of His amazing love, peace and comfort during this time of such sorrow. Sid was a kind, caring, strong, inspiring, courageous woman who loved her family deeply. We feel extremely blessed to have known her. May it bring you much comfort and joy in knowing that one day you will be together again celebrating in a great family reuion in heaven! Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." 1 Chronicles 16:34 Give thanks to the Lord for He is good; His love endures forever. Sid was three years older than me, but we were often asked if we were twins. People were ofter taken back by how much alike we were. The last few weeks at the hospital people would take one look at me and say Ms. Geogette's sister? It was so very obvious.
We fought each other and fought the world for each other . It is so very hard to have her gone from this world.
when growing up we had a "Schools Day" book .. There was a page for each grade. On the back of the page would be a place for "when I grow up" . Whe Sid was 10 she started to write in I want to be an ACCOUNTANT.... It truly was the only job she ever wanted. The only thing she wanted more in life was to be MOM. She ws great at both...
Sid was the middle of the 5 Fisher kids, the oldest to youngest only 7 years apart. We had humble beginnings. The house we lived in Missouri did not have indoor plumbing until Sid was about 8 years old. We all picked cotton in the fields to have spending money. We shared bedrooms and had hand me down clothes. The funny thing is we were always happy.
Sid is my sister. The three Fisher girls shared a room growing up. Sid never had any fashion sense or knew how to Shop. Since my early teens I would go shopping get a new outfit and within a week Sid would be wearing it to school. One year we had our school pictures in the same outfit!! The dress in this picture was mine.... Years later we would laugh about it. Dorothy Ann
Sid was very sentive to the Sun. She always needed to wear a big hat to keep the Sun off her face. When she traveled. She would always buy a new hat at the vacation spot. WE always said she had the bigest collection of UGLY hats.

Our sincerest condolences to the family of Sidnye. We are so grateful for the time she shared with us.
To all who loved Sid. We will miss her. While we suffer a major loss, Sid is a winner and is now with God. One day we will join her. She had no unfinished business here, only left loved ones and friends behind as she begins her next journey.
The first story I ever heard of Sidnye was about her saving my grandma's life. The Georgette's and my grandma were neighbors throughout the 80's and early 90's. Sometime shortly after I was born, my grandma fell into the snow in my backyard and couldn't get up. It was Sidnye who found and rescued her. Had she been there much longer, she would have died of hypothermia.
They became great friends and I remember spending many summer nights sitting on my grandma's porch with the Georgette family. Now, I hope they'll have a chance to meet again and reminisce about those days.
Dear Gary and a Family, Please accept our heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your dear wife, mother and sister. We know she is now out of pain and is in heaven with all of your family that has passed before her. Fondly, Joe and Maureen Orlandino
Gary, We are so deeply saddened to hear of Sidnye's passing, and we send our thoughts and prayers to you and your family. We hope that you find comfort in cherished memories and thoughts of happy times together. With love, Jerry and Laura Shipman
Gary and family. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of grief. I had the honor of working with Sidnye for several years at Titus. Sidnye has a wonderful soul; full of life, proud of her family, always wanting to do her best work, she has a self-deprecating sense of humor and a no-nonsense attitude. Her smile always brightened the room and now it brightens heaven. The word of the Lord says... Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. (Psalm 23:6)
Dear Gary and Family, I am sending my deepest sympathy to all of you. Please know that Sidnye was a wonderful person. I respected her as a co-worker, and I loved her as a friend and fellow survivor. She has been such an inspiration to me through my journey... My mentor and my encouragement and many times, a shoulder to cry on. I will treasure her memory forever. I feel we are kindred souls and I miss her so very much. I pray that God will provide comfort to you and all of us that loved her so much. She gave back so much to others! With love, Judy Stachel
