Condolences
Calvin was a great man. I spent every weekend as a teen and young adult hunting deer with him and his family. I think of those times every day.Calvin saw me thru the passing of my dad,and was a father to me himself. He shared his love of life with me,kept me from going astray, and turned me on to the Lord. Every time autumn comes around,I think of all those weekends at the farm. He truly is a "legend of the fall".. Great man and great family? .I'll miss him something fierce. (
I was sorry to hear about Calvin's passing. My Dad owned a pond at Patricksburg. I don't know how Calvin ever found out about it but he fished there for years and taught his son to fish there, I think. I hadn't seen him for some time but I was still sorry to hear that he died.
Mary and Children: Calvin and I are cousins born the same year. I have so many great and heart warming memories of Calvin. Hunting with our fathers when we were too young to carry a gun. Our families hunting and fishing in Michigan. The great times we all had at Grandma Henry's farm at Traders Point. And discovering girls. These memories will last all my life. Calvin was special to grow up with. So sorry for your loss. Love Jim I just found out about an hour ago. Patty from KY let us know. Sorry I won't be able to make the service. My brother and Sisters send their condolences also.
My uncle we would tell me the same joke when I saw him. "Why do hummingbirds hum? Because they don't know the words!" I would act like I had never heard that one.I will miss his gardening advice.
I am so sorry to the whole family for their loss he is a good man and I carried some of what he told me and showed me to this day he was always direct and to the point and you always knew where you stood with him sorry for my friend steve and marguirette the world is a lesser place without him!
