Charles Evert Jones, 85, of Indianapolis passed away on December 8, 2013. He was born on July 11, 1928 in Indianapolis, IN. Charles retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1988. He was a loving devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, Post #2999. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rachael Jones, who passed away in 2009 to whom he was married to for 49 years. Survivors include his son, Richard K. (Diana) Jones and grandchildren, Rebecca M. and Jeffrey R. Jones. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 11 from 4 pm - 7:30 pm with a funeral service at 7:30 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. Burial will be held in Marion National Cemetery.
