Captain Bob Henderson was one of the "good sticks". I flew First Officer for him, much to the sometimes confusion of crew scheduling over our names. I once took a phone call intended for Bob from Lois. We laughed about that. Accept our heartfelt sympathy for your loss. Captain Joe Henderson, last Lake Central Airlines pilot class of 7-05-67. Retired A330 Captain, USAirways
Uncle Bob will be truly missed. He had a love and gusto for life and it was infectious. He had a story for every occasion with laughs for all. I was truly blessed to be in his presence. He touched not only my life but the life of my children and my husband. We will all miss him very much. I can see him with my dad telling stories and laughing. He was truly a great man in his walk of life. He wore many hats proudly. He was not a selfish man. He would share anything he knew. Including breaking the mystery of the claw machine. My youngest son (his great nephew) mastered them with his instruction. He loved life and lived life to his fullest. I know Lois, Bobby, David, Susan and all the grandkids will miss him in the days to come. However I am sure the story telling around the table about him and his full life will ease there pain. I love you all and am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
I had the pleasure to fly Co-Pilot for Bob at Lake Central and after the merger with Allegheny during the early 70's. He was an excellent pilot and always made the trip enjoyable for all the crew. You never saw Bob, that he wasn't smiling, he was a true Gentleman!! Our condolences to all the family

We are so sorry for your loss. We all loved Uncle Bob and he will be missed by everyone here. From the family in Houston Jimmy Fernandez
My heart is saddened for you all. Bob was always so full of smiles and laughter - You can tell that from his big smile. I know that Matt got his keen sense of humor carried through the generations from Bob, to David and now Matthew. May you all cherish the wonderful memories you have, the family traditions you all shared from Mug n Bun to trips to see Mickey Mouse to celebrations of birthdays with homemade ice cream and all the things in between. We will be praying that God surrounds you with peace and comfort and lots of loving hands to help you get through this difficult time.

What a joy to meet Bob and Lois as I helped David and prepare for their wedding! While our time together for the celebration of David and Marie was brief it was obvious to me that the model David had to guide him in marriage was that of his parents. So very sorry, David and Susan (who was another bridesmaid) for the sudden loss of your father. I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet him!!
I worked Operations for Lake Central at Cincinnati and I remember Bob well. You'll be in my prayers as you weather your loss. We'll all go to meet him one day and renew old acquaintances.
I flew with Bob as a new co-pilot during the late 60,s and early 70,s. Bob was a great person and pilot, and great to work with. He will be missed. My condolences to Bob's family.
Please accept my sympathies and prayers for your loss.
