Irene C. Smith, 82 of Indianapolis died July 23, 2013. She was born on December 16, 1930 in Haldego - Wayne City Kentucky to the late Elmer O. and Lylia R. Winchester. She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty years John J. Smith who died in March of 2013. Irene is also preceded in death by her sisters Thelma M. Dickerson and Geraldine Perkins. She is survived by her daughters Betsy C. Brown and Jerilyn M. Dowty, brothers David S. Winchester and Donald R. Winchester, 4 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 18 great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday July 27, 2013 in Drexel Gardens Apostolic Tabernacle 5033 W. Legrande Ave Indianapolis, IN, with visitation from 12 noon until service time.
