Condolences
I just learned of David passing Friday night and I am so sorry. I knew David thru Parkers Shop. HE was such a nice person, always a smile. Knew him at St Chris Bingo, always in the same place every Friday night and helping out at the fish fry bingo...So sorry for your loss, and he will be missed...
So very sorry for the loss of a truly kind spirit. I did not know him well, only through Holy Trinity Catholic Church, but he was always so kind and so helpful. He helped at Holy Trinity so much. I am sorry for his loss, though I know he srill will remain in our hearts and minds.
My prayers are with you in your time of sorrow. David was a very special, wonderful young man and he will be sorely missed. David & my oldest son Kevin were very close friends in high school, so I came to think of him as one of my boys. My prayers are with your entire family during your time of sorrow, but David is now in a better place with no more suffering. You have your own Angel. Sincerly, Carolyn & Joe Miller
David was a truly amazing person. He took me under his wing and taught me a lot during the year I worked with him. He was an amazing cook and a great friend! He will be greatly missed and loved by so many he touched while working for the BMV.
My heart is in pain, although we lost touch in later years, you were my best friend in High School and I will always remember the funny little David Hoodism's you taught me. I can't believe that you are gone and you are in my prayers. Who would have thought that in later years you would get to know my Mother at her church, Holy Trinity. My prayers and thoughts are with your family. Life is so short and so precious. Heaven has another angel.
I join friends and family and respect for and appreciation of the life and contributions of Mr. Hood.
I am deeply saddened to hear of David's passing. My prayers are with all.
We knew David at Parker's Watch Shop. Jeanette Parker was my aunt. David was always a delight to see when we would visit my aunt's jewelry store. He always had something funny to say and make us all smile. David will be missed. He worked hard and was always there for my aunt. God Bless David.
I can hear David's wonderful laugh. He was a sweet gentle soul that everyone wanted to be around. He made you smile on your worst day. I loved hearing his stories and especially loved sharing his baked goods. He was absoluetly one of a kind. He will be missed by many.
I worked with "My David" (a term I coined whenever I talked about him because every other license branch he worked at wanted to steal him) and I cannot tell you what pure joy he brought into all of our lives. A simple story would have us all laughing so hard! He shared his life with us and we all felt as though we personally knew all of you. His nieces and nephews were the light of his life and the children of his heart. You all have my deepest sympathy and are in my thoughts and prayers. He was one of a kind and I am so blessed and a better person for having him in my life. Simply put, I love him and will try and live my life with the same grace and gentleness that he lived his.
Today and always, may loving memories bring you peace, comfort, and strength. Rebecca Acree, Washington Park North
