Obituary of Carline LaForte
Carline Agnes LaForte, passed away May 27, 2011. She was born January 9th, 1929 in Biloxi, Mississippi. She was known to family, friends and strangers alike as ?Maw Maw? and she will be greatly missed by all.
Carline retired from Indiana University Hospital where she worked at the main information desk. In her younger years she was quite the dancer and could really cut the rug. She enjoyed cooking Cajun food like gumbo, red beans and rice and gulf coast blue crabs for her family which we all enjoyed. She loved visits from her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and would spoil them relentlessly at every opportunity. She was a long time Speedway resident and member of the Speedway United Methodist Church.
Survivors include sons, Craig (Barbara) LaForte of Mount Upton, NY , Maurice (Lisa) LaForte of Martinsville, IN; daughter, Roxann Bose of Speedway, IN; brother, Bernard Talley of Biloxi, MS; grandchildren Nicole, Erica, Maurice II, Craig II and Emily; great grandchildren Ben, Owen, Caleb, Lincoln and Samuel.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday June 6 from 6-8pm at Speedway United Methodist Church in the Chapel. Arrangements made by Stevens Mortuary & Family Center. www.stevensmortuary.net
